Miley Cyrus has finally met actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, the 67-year-old father of her boyfriend, Patrick Schwarzenegger. It seemed that Arnold did not share the same sentiments of his former wife Maria Shriver regarding her aversions to their son's relationship with the "Wrecking Ball" singer as they were seen having brunch in Idaho.
Miley Cyrus, along with boyfriend Patrick Schwarzenegger, went to brunch with former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger during a family ski trip in Idaho on Dec. 29, Monday. According to Us Weekly, the 22-year-old singer has gotten the approval of her beau's father. A source even said that the legendary actor is happy for his son Patrick.
"Arnold [Schwarzenegger] knows his place as a father," a source said. "He's happy for Patrick and was thrilled that Patrick introduced him to Miley [Cyrus]."
Cyrus wore a conservative outfit, after episodes of wearing too-revealing clothes publicly, to meet her boyfriend's father. The New York Daily News reported that she sported a pink fur coat and a gray beanie while enjoying brunch at the famed The Kneadery in Ketchum, Idaho. The young couple and Arnold bonded over a meal together as they were joined by some of Patrick's friends.
"Patrick always brings a huge crew of his friends," the source added. "Having Miley around has added a little spice to the usual vacation, though."
The Miley Cyrus-Patrick Schwarzenegger relationship has reportedly created a lot of strain to Patrick's family. But now, as Arnold Schwarzenegger approves the relationship, it now causes issues between him and his ex-wife, who disapproves Miley as their son's girlfriend.
"Miley and Patrick's relationship is creating a lot of tension in his family," a source exclusively told the Hollywood Life. "Unfortunately, Arnold's acceptance of Miley has only put more tension between him and Maria who disapproves of the relationship. Arnold told her to relax and let the boy be a boy, which didn't go over well with Maria at all. She hates the whole circus that surrounds Miley and it upsets her the Arnold is okay with it."
While Patrick Schwarzenegger's mom, Maria Shriver is not so thrilled about her son's new found love interest, Arnold Schwarzenegger adored his son's girlfriend, Inquisitr reported.
"Arnold loves that Patrick is dating Miley," a source exclusively said. "He's been showing her off around Ketchum to all his friends. Arnold loves being in the spotlight and is really enjoying all the attention Patrick's relationship with Miley is getting. He's proud of Patrick for dating such a sought after girl like Miley. He compares it to dating Madonna at the peak of her fame."
Despite the reports that Arnold Schwarzenegger approved his 21-year-old son's relationship with famed pop star Miley Cyrus, Patrick's mom, Maria Shriver still opposes the idea of her son's dating status with the notorious artist.
