"He was full of knowledge and kindness and goodness," Bledel said. "He always wanted to share the great and beautiful things in life." While Graham tweeted, "My friend Ed Herrmann was the kindest, classiest, most talented man. It was an honor and a joy to know him, a devastating blow to lose him."
Edward Herrmann, who had a $10 million fortune as listed by Celebrity Net Worth, had been hospitalized for several weeks before his death. He was surrounded by his family including his wife, Star, and his three children. According to the actor's son, Herrmann died at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center Hospital in New York after battling brain cancer.
Throughout Herrmann's career, his performances on television, film and on theatre was well-recognized. Following his death, Fox News said a private funeral was set followed by a public memorial early next week.
