Aniston Pitt Divorce - In an interview with CBS' Lee Cowan recently, Jennifer Aniston spilled her guts on several topics, including her highly publicized divorce from Brad Pitt.
Aniston, who is now 45, was married to Pitt between 2000 and 2005. Their relationship came to an abrupt end shortly after rumors surfaced that Pitt had been cheating on Aniston with Angelina Jolie. Pitt later admitted that he had fallen in love with Jolie while working on Mr. & Mrs. Smith, and although he never said it, their relationship led to the end of his marriage to Aniston.
During the Aniston Pitt divorce, there was constant media coverage on the beautiful actress. Although Aniston, whose parents divorced when she was young, admits that she was "hell-bent" on correcting the negative perceptions of her created by the press in the past, now she says she just "let it roll off."
When asked whether she is haunted by the media coverage of her divorce from Brad Pitt, Aniston says no. "I don't find it painful," she said. "I think it's a narrative that follows you because it's an interesting headline. It's more of a media-driven topic."
Although Aniston admits that she has been in contact with Pitt in the past and exchanged good wishes with him, she is quick to add that it is not a constant thing.
Aniston has been in a relationship with actor Justin Theroux. The two reportedly met while working on Wanderlust and hit it off immediately. Despite announcing their engagement in 2012, Aniston and Theroux have kept their relationship very secretive.
Aniston told CBS that she and Theroux know what their truth is, "And all that is just static," she said in reference to the rumors about their relationship.
Aniston has received critical acclaim for her role in upcoming drama Cake. She was awarded the Movie Performance Of The Year by People Magazine in Dec. 2014. She is reportedly also set to be given the Montecito Award by The Santa Barbara International Film Festival and has been nominated for Best Actress at the Golden Globes and Screen Actor Guild.
