Bobby Petrino and his wife, Becky, have put their home in Fayetteville up for sale less than 48 hours after being dismissed by Arkansas.
The Petrinos have put their home up for sale for $2.5 million.
The listing comes after Petrino was fired as head coach at Arkansas for carrying on an extramarital affair with Jessica Dorrell, a 25-year-old development coordinator for the football program, and consciously misleading the athletic department about it.
Petrino was fired by Arkansas athletic director Jeff Long after hiring Dorrell, his mistress, despite 158 other applicants for the position. Petrino additionally gave her $20,000 under the table and carried on a relationship with her for seven months.
The relationship was discovered when Petrino got into a motorcycle accident on April 1st that left him with broken ribs and cracked vertebrae. Petrino initially told the public that he was riding solo, but the police report released on Thursday showed that Dorrell was riding on the back of his motorcycle at the time of the crash.
"He made the decision, a conscious decision, to mislead the public on Tuesday, and in doing so negatively and adversely affected the reputation of the University of Arkansas and our football program," Long said on Tuesday. "In short, coach Petrino engaged in a pattern of misleading and manipulative behavior designed to deceive me and members of the athletic staff, both before and after the motorcycle accident."
Petrino and Dorrell frequently talked on the phone and texted each other, according to phone records released through the Freedom of Information Act. In all the pair exchanged more than 4,300 text messages and nearly 300 phone calls during a seven month relationship. Those phone calls include 11 on the day that Petrino released a statement admitting that he carried on an "inappropriate relationship" with Dorrell.
