Lisan Goines - CBS veteran news correspondent Steve Kroft has admitted to having a three-year-long-affair with a woman he met in a bar.
Reports indicate that 69-year-old Steve Kroft has been having an affair with 41-year-old Lisa Goines, a Harvard-eduacted lawyer. Their clandestine relationship included rendezvous in five-star Manhattan and Washington D.C. hotels.
According to the National Enquirer, Lisan Goines ended the secret relationship because she claimed the 60 minutes correspondent was getting too selfish. Apparently she did not want to leave her husband for him and wanted Kroft to stay with his wife of 23 years.
However, the pair continued to see each other and were spotted around Upper West Side, where Kroft lives with his wife and son on Dec. 17.
Steve Kroft, who is married to Jennet Conant and has a son with the journalist and author, has confirmed the reports to be true.
"I has an extramarital affair that was a serious lapse of personal judgment and extremely hurtful to my wife and family, and for that I have nothing but regret," Kroft said according to the NY Post. "My wife and I are committed to each other and we are working hard to get past this."
According to reports, the Steve Kroft Lisan Goines affair began in 2011 after the pair met at a bar in St Regis. Kroft spotted Goines from across the room, walked over and talked to her and a friend.
While Goines' friend headed to the restroom, Kroft told her "I have to see you again."
The pair met a few weeks after for drinks, Kroft told Goines that he was in sexless marriage and gave her a room key so they could spend quality time together.
During their affair, the pair exchanged several naughty texts. According to the Daily Mail UK, in one text Kroft told her that instead of working he 'would rather be eating you pudding'.
"Don't work too hard this week bc I wanna wear you out afterward," Goines replied.
In another released text Kroft said to Goines " Miss you and all that goes with it. Especially my favorite tastes and colors...pink and brown." The news of the Steve Kroft Lisan Goines affair has since gone viral on the Internet.
