Clarkson's Horrible First Pregnancy - Singer Kelly Clarkson is enjoying motherhood and is already thinking about having a second child despite the fact that her first pregnancy was a "horrible" experience.
The singer and song writer, who shot to fame after winning the first season of American Idol, gave birth to her first child, River, on June 14, 2014, with husband Brandon Blackstock.
The 32-year-old Because Of You singer says she can still recall the nightmares of her first pregnancy, which made her skip work more often and eventually had her hospitalized.
"I was hospitalized. It was just kind of a bad pregnancy, so I had to take off way more time [from work] than normal," Clarkson said.
However, the singer says River has brought her so much happiness that she is already thinking of having a second child.
"I had the worst pregnancy ever but I love her so much I want another one in, like two years. I never thought I would say that while I was vomiting over the porcelain throne (toilet) for seven months," Clarkson said."I love it. I love it. She's pretty awesome and my husband is running from me because I want another one!"
Clarkson's horrible first pregnancy and River's birth has reportedly taught the singer, who is scheduled to release her seventh album 'Piece by Piece' in March, to stop worrying about stupid stuff that comes with the entertainment business.
"You know, you have a baby and you realize how much of a complete crap you were sometimes, Clarkson said."Not like a complete crap, but you worried about stupid stuff."
"I've never been like horrible, Clarkson said."I guess just in our job, in the entertainment world, you get very self-involved. Everything is about you, so it's nice to have a different perspective. It's just funny, I'm like, 'I kinda don't like me before!' But I like me now."
Kelly Clarkson also said being a mom has given her a tougher skin and feels that it's cool if some people dish out criticism for her upcoming album.
"I love what I'm doing, but if people don't, that's cool. That's another thing that comes with being a mom, I've got a baby girl and she's awesome," she said.
