George Gray Treadmill - The Price Is Right host unwittingly got a chance to prove his level of professionalism on Thursday night after he slipped and fell on a treadmill while announcing prizes to a contestant on live TV.
George Gray, 47, had been asked by the main host of the show Drew Carey to announce the prizes available for grabs to the contestant identified as Melissa from Ingelwood.
"They said it couldn't be done," Gray said as the curtain opened to show him and the other hosts with the prizes. "It's a motorcycle, a new range, and a new treadmill"
Then it happened. Gray, who had been performing a weird but impressive stunt of walking backwards on a treadmill, slipped and fell as he stretched out to grab some paper from a backstage staff.
This incident sparked off a mixture of laughs and surprise from the audience in the studio. The main host of the show Carey, could not control himself as he turned away from the camera in laughter. The contestant Melissa is seen gesturing to Gray with a mixture of shock and laughter.
But impressively Gray continues reading as if nothing had happened. He even chipped in a witty joke that aspirins are not included with the treadmill.
Later, as Carey jokes about Gray's fall, the visibly shaken host exclaims in pride that he "Didn't miss a word!"
"That is a pro right there," Carey noted as the show went on a commercial break.
George Gray's treadmill fall has since gone viral. The Arizona-born comedian and TV host, who worked on Junkyard Wards and Weakest Link before joining the cast of The Prize is Right, later took to Twitter to also poke some fun at himself.
"Fall On Dowwwwn!" he wrote. "today I fought a treadmill and lost! Not sure who laughed harder, me or @DrewFromTV #BruisedEgo."
