"Bones" Season 10 Update - Good and bad news for "Bones" fans as FOX network clued in for a possible Season 11. However, it seems that another season will mean the last one for the show. The network is also reported to be doing some negotiations with the actors of the series.
As "Bones" Season 10 is set to make its midseason television comeback on March 26 after the winter hiatus, reports say that talks are underway for one more season. TVLine reported that FOX is negotiating with the show's lead stars, Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz, whose contracts will expire this spring. But FOX executives also stressed that they are hopeful for only one more season.
"On 'Bones,' we are at the end of our deal with Emily and David and we have started conversations with them and we're very hopeful that 'Bones' will return," FOX Chairman and CEO Dana Walden said during the Television Critics Association (TCA) winter press tour, as Zap2it reported.
"We can't announce it today because deals aren't closed, but we love the show," Walden added, as quoted by Digital Spy UK. "It's been so meaningful to the studio and nothing would make us happier than doing another year."
Fellow FOX Chairman and CEO Gary Newman also confirmed that there are negotiations for another season after the midseason comeback of "Bones" Season 10. But it is still unclear if the show will end after the season 11.
"I think that it's likely to be a one-season conversation at this point, which I think makes them more comfortable and I think probably makes sense for the network as well," Newman stated.
Last month, Deschanel, who is currently pregnant with her second child, also expressed her desire to work for the show's eleventh season.
"I'm up for it... I feel like there's still more to tell," she said.
Meanwhile, "Bones" Season 10, FOX's long-running series, promises more thrilling adventures, conflicts, some serial killers and of course, a bit of romance when it returns on TV in March. As we initially reported, Brennan and Booth will be attempting to hide the pregnancy while discovering Angela's secret from her past. While Arastoo will bring some conflicts in the show.
Whether or not there will be a season 11 and more, the midseason comeback of "Bones" season 10 will surely bring excitement on TV as it premieres on March 26, 2015 at 8 p.m. on FOX.
