Kendra Sunderland - A 19-year-old former Oregon State University student, who recorded a porn video in the school's library, has been arrested for public indecency.
Kendra Sunderland of Corvallis, Ore, was arrested on Tuesday after someone tipped Oregon State University administrators of the amateur video. She faces a year in prison and a fine of over $6,000 if found guilty.
Kendra Sunderland recorded the 17 minutes long NSFW video in the school's library last fall. She was a freshman studying human development and family science program.
In the video, which has since gone viral on social media and on popular adult sharing site PornHub, Sunderland is shown masturbating in front of a Valley Library desk. She is seen checking if someone is coming as she bares her breasts and masturbates.
Other students can be seen walking around in the video, which has a live sex chat site logo, ReptCams, on the side.
OSU officials have denounced the video, citing that it does not reflect the school's policies. Kendra Sunderland has not enrolled for term classes.
The news of Sunderland's peep show has shocked students, especially given the fact that the 340,000-square library is always packed, hosting about 30,000 people weekly.
OSU student Rich Rogers said he initially thought that it was a rumor circulating on social media.
"At first I thought it was a joke. And then all of a sudden it was like, 'Oh no, it's real,' After I realized it was real. I was more shocked that it happened. That kind of stuff you do in private and not in public. Ever," he said.
OSU spokesman Steve Clark said the incident was shocking and is the first and hopefully the last time a student would record a porn video on campus.
"To my knowledge, there have not been any other instances of an adult video being filmed or created on campus," Clark said.
