Holly Madison - 33-year-old model and former Playboy bunny Holly Madison has sued a Las Vegas theater where she performed last year for secretly filming her and other dancers while they were dressing.
According to the lawsuit, Holly Madison claims for five months administrators of Mandalay's Bay's 1923 Bourbon and Burlesque secretly filmed and distributed images of the showgirls naked and changing costumes.
Madison's attorney, Eva Garcia-Mendoza said "It's a crime. Not only Holly has been damaged- but four if the dancers that I filed a suit for separately. They are going through some serious emotional distress right now."
Reports indicate that, Avi Kopelman, Robert Fry, Robert W. Sabes and Noel Bowman were named in the suit. They are accused of placing the digital video recorder, which has a capacity to store more than 16 days of footage of the women's dressing room.
Holly Madison reportedly became aware of the secret recording after two other showgirls started complaining following their observation of the camera's feed in Sabes' office.
Reports indicate that when the women complained to the manager he confessed to have been filming them since April. He even told Madison's agent, Jason Verona that "It's not a big deal."
The women became enraged and quit the show shortly afterwards, but the club denies ever installing a secret camera in Madison's dressing room.
Jared Kahn, attorney for the club, said the women chose to use a public corridor as a dressing room, instead of using their private changing room. He added that this corridor, which is near a backdoor exit, was under surveillance.
"The performers elected to change costumes in the public corridor when they really could have dressed in the private area that was available to them," Khan said. "Once management learned of the camera it was re-positioned to monitor a smaller area."
"We are not aware of any dissemination of video."
"The video system has a log that shows what images have been captured off it and there was no images that have ever had a captured image report off it."
He added that Madison's claims are false and that she is using the suit as a publicity stunt to promote her upcoming book.
"This was not an issue until 1923 became involved with contract negotiations with Holly last summer," Khan said. "This is a publicity stunt by Holly to promote her upcoming book and attempt to extract a seven-figure settlement from 1923."
