"Hannibal" Season 3 Spoilers - The much-anticipated television comeback of "Hannibal" has been pushed in the summer, NBC announced. Though avid fans were less thrilled by the announcement, some were still craving for details about what may be in store for the show.
"Hannibal's going to be back in the summer," NBC Chairman Robert Greenblatt said during the Television Critics Association (TCA) press tour. "It's a show we love. It's been critically acclaimed by a few of you in the room, if not many. We love it. We also love summer. We have a lot of good and exciting plans for summer."
Meanwhile, here are 5 exciting details that fans don't want to miss as "Hannibal" Season 3 returns on TV this summer.
1. A set of new characters will be joining the cast of third season of "Hannibal."
According to TVLine, "True Blood" actress Rutina Wesley is set to play Francis Dolarhyde's love interest Reba McClane. For the infamous tooth fairy or Dolarhyde's character, Screenrant informed "Hobbit" star Richard Armitage is set to play the role. Ecumenical News also revealed Tao Okamoto, who will play Lady Murasaki and Nina Arianda, who will play Will Graham's (Hugh Dancy) future wife in the series and will appear on its episode 8.
2. The plot of the series will have a time jump between its season 2 and 3. Screenrant also reported the storyline will be taking a lot of disparate elements from the novels "Hannibal Rising" and "Hannibal" and combining them together as part of the prod of the season.
3. Though "Hannibal" Season 3 trailer has been released, it does not reveal what happens to Jack Crawford (Laurence Fishburne) and Alana Bloom (Caroline Dhavernas). Are they dead or alive?
4. After watching the trailer so many times, there's one interesting thing. Does Hannibal's Memory Palace exist?
5. The latest news from KPopStarz revealed Glenn Fleshler, who was a bad guy in both 'True Detective' and 'Boardwalk Empire' will play another bad guy in "Hannibal" Season 3. He will be Mason Verger (Joe Anderson) caretaker, named Cordell. TVLine described the character as "quiet, very intelligent and definitely creepy" personal nurse to Mason.
Instead of spring, "Hannibal" Season 3 will return on primetime television in the summer of 2015.
