The return of "The Walking Dead" was dubbed as the "biggest-regularly scheduled program of 2015." In December's midseason finale, the show earned 14.8 million viewers while 17.3 million viewers watched the show's premiere last October.
AMC President Charlie Collier expressed the challenges of acquiring high viewership for its shows. The network is grateful that despite the competitive world of television series, they were able to deliver shows that have "passionate audiences," Hit Fix reported.
Collier thanked the people behind "The Walking Dead" namely creators Robert Kirkman and Scott Gimple. The president also announced his gratitude to Peter Gould who is the creator of "Better Call Saul." Collier added that the network is extremely grateful to the talented team and devoted fans who continue to make the AMX shows successful.
