Motorola's Droid Turbo reportedly outshines Apple's iPhone 6 in several aspects, according to The Fuse Joplin.
Reports also say that the overall performance of the Droid Turbo is better than the iPhone 6. Apple is the leader in creating smartphones nowadays but years ago Motorola is the innovator for great phones. In order for buyers to determine what device is the best to purchase, the two phones should be compared.
To start off with the design, Droid Turbo has a sturdier look with a "sporty, military" framework made of rubber. Motorola has added a nano coating to the model that makes it water repellant but not water resistant, according to Phone Arena.
Droid Turbo measures 5.65 x 2.39 x 0.44 inches and weighs 176 grams while the iPhone 6 measures 5.44 x3.64 x 0.27 inches and weighs 129 grams. The iPhone 6 is still considered as the slimmest smartphone.
For the display of the phones, the iPhone 6 has a smaller screen with 4.7 inches and 750 x 1334 pixel resolution with pixel density of 326ppi. On the other hand, the Droid Turbo sports a bigger screen with 5.2 inches and 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution with pixel density of 565ppi.
When it comes to the operating system, the Droid Turbo runs with Android 4.4.4 KitKat and can be upgraded to Android 5.0 Lollipop while iPhone 6 has iOS 8.1. The Motorola device has a better processor with Qualcomm Snapdragon 805, 2.7GHz quad-core while the Apple gadget has 1.4GHz dual-core processor, which is an A8 chip 6-4 bit type.
The Droid Turbo also works faster due to its 3GB of RAM and the iPhone is slower compared to the former due to its 1 GB of RAM.
One important feature for buyers when they purchase a smartphone is the camera. The Droid Turbo has a 20.7-megapixel main camera and the iPhone 6 has an 8-megapixel primary camera. Image quality of Droid Turbo photos are excellent but it also takes bigger spaces in the device's memory, according to Examiner.
Apple iPhone 6 16GB is available for $719.99 and the Motorola Droid Turbo 32 GB has a starting price of $700 on Amazon.
