According to WRAL Mike Maze, Stan Bryda of Fayetteville had plenty of ice on his Dodge Charger from Monday's freezing rain and after somehow peeling it off, it left an amazing sculpture.
Reports indicate that the front grill of the jeep was frozen and the must see ice sculpture is still in place at the parking lot of Vidant Medical Center, located in Greenville, North Carolina.
The news of the frozen jeep in North Carolina went viral after two photographers sent amazing photos of the ice sculpture to WITN.
One of the photographers took the picture of the ice sculpture from the front while the other from another direction.
Reports indicate that Kimberly Freeman who took the front photos of the frozen jeep said she was shocked to see it and could not believe it, she thought she was seeing a mirage.
Since the story and photos of the frozen jeep in North Carolina went viral, several theories as to how the driver was able to successfully peel of the car without breaking the ice are springing up, especially on social media where it has been shared thousands of times.
Terry Costakis, one of the photographers, thinks the amazing ice sculpture of the jeep remains because the owner left the vehicle running to warm up the engine. And after moving the car, it left an imprint of the ice which was attached to the curb.
