Mirjana Puhar, 19-year old former "America's Next Top Model" contestant, was murdered on Tuesday. According to the reports, she was killed at her boyfriend's home in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Last year, Mirjana Puhar joined the reality television modeling competition, "America's Next Top Model." She appeared on its 21st cycle but was eliminated in the 10th episode. She and her family moved to the US from Serbia when she was five-years-old to escape the Kosovo War.
Unfortunately, Mirjana Puhar, along with two other friends, were found dead on Feb. 24 inside a Charlotte residence.
Here are 6 exclusively tragic details we learned about the shocking incident.
1. Mirjana Puhar, her 23-year-old boyfriend, Jonathan Cosme Alvarado and her boyfriend's 21-year-old best friend and roommate, Jusmar Isiah Gonzaga-Garcia, were found dead in an apartment that belonged to Puhar's boyfriend. According to TMZ, the "ANTM" alum had just moved in with the guys.
2. Based on the preliminary investigation, the authorities believed the murders were drug-related and the victims knew the killer, The Daily Mail learned. It was also noted that money were found scattering around the house.
3. Sources said the authorities were called to the crime scene after receiving reports of gunshots. FOX News reported Mirjana Puhar and her boyfriend's bodies were found by a friend but the third victim was discovered when the police arrived.
4. The cause of their deaths were not yet disclosed but the Charlotte-Mecklenberg Police Department said the triple homicide was not random, ET Online revealed.
5. Police have arrested alleged killer 19-year-old Emmanuel Jesus Rangel, the alleged killer, on Wednesday, as reported by Washington Times. Detectives with the Homicide/ADW Unit have charged Rangel with three counts of first-degree murder.
"During the investigation, detectives identified Mr. Rangel as a suspect in this case and obtained three Murder warrants for his arrest," Charlotte Police Department's press release statement said, Hollywood Life quoted. "Earlier this morning, detectives with the Violent Criminal Apprehension Team located and arrested Mr. Rangel without incident."
"Mr. Rangel was then transported to police headquarters where he was interviewed by detectives," the statement continued. "Upon completion of the interview, Mr. Rangel was charged with three counts of 1st Degree Murder. Preliminary information indicates that the victims and suspect were known to one another and this incident was drug related. Mr. Rangel has been transferred to the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office where he will remain in custody."
6. Aside from Mirjana Puhar's death, Rangel has also been charged in a separate murder that occurred on Sunday morning. People reported he is one of three people charged in connection with a homicide at the Microtel Hotel in Matthews, North Carolina.
