Jihadi John apologizes? For real?! Recent reports claimed that the notorious ISIS executioner has apologized to his family who are currently in hiding since his identity was revealed. Last month, he has been identified as 26-year-old Kuwaiti-born Briton, Mohammed Emwazi, who is responsible for the brutal killings in videos released by the Islamic State.
Jihadi John's apology came after his identity was unmasked. According to the New York Daily News, the revelation compelled his family to leave their government-provided home in London. His family is also under 24-hour security.
Mohammed Emwazi sent his apologies to his family through a third party, The Sunday Times in England reported. The report detailed that Jihadi John apologized for the "problems and trouble" the revelation has caused to his family.
It was also reported by The Jerusalem Post that Mohammed Emwazi's mother, Ghaneya and four siblings are allegedly hiding at a hotel with armed police guards, which costs £5,000 per day. While his father and one sister seemed to have lived in Kuwait for the past two years. However, the lawyers representing Emwazi's father insisted that it has not been confirmed whether he is the executioner in the ISIS videos.
Although Jihadi John has apologized to his family over his association with the terrorists and the revelation of his identity, Times of India cited Emwazi remained unremorseful over the barbaric murders he carried out to several hostages, in which majority have been filmed including British aid workers David Haines and Alan Henning.
Last month, The Washington Post revealed Jihadi John's identity as Mohammed Emwazi, a computer science graduate from the University of Westminster. He is believed to have escaped from Britain in early 2013 by hiding in a freight lorry on a Channel ferry, before traveling on to Turkey and then Syria.
Meanwhile experts believed that Jihadi John's apology to his parents may have been made for self-interested reasons. It is because Muslims who dishonor their parents are to be more likely to go to hell.
