Bobbi Kristina Brown's grandmother, Cissy Houston, has spoken out about her condition amid circulating reports claiming she is out of the medically-induced coma.
On Monday, the late Whitney Houston's mother has confirmed the reports that Bobbi is no out of coma. However, she also revealed that the 22-year-old is still remains to be unresponsive, E! News has learned.
"I have just returned from visiting my granddaughter Bobbi Kristina in the hospital and while she is no longer in a medically induced coma she has a tracheotomy and according to the doctors she has global and irreversible brain damage and remains unresponsive," Cissy said in a statement.
Cissy has also admitted that she's learned the terrible news from Bobbi Kristina Brown's doctors that she could be unresponsive for a very long time.
"Meeting with the doctors and understanding that she can live in this condition for a lifetime truly saddens me," she said.
"We can only trust in God for a miracle at this time. Keep us in your prayers," Cissy quipped.
Meanwhile, Bobby Brown's wife, Alicia Etheredge-Brown, also gushed about Whitney Houston's only daughter to CBS News, saying that she "made it out of ICU" but she'll be in rehabilitation "long and hard."
Given the irreversible condition of her brain, Bobbi Kristina Brown may be looking at a very uncertain life once she wakes up and becomes responsive.
"Doctors have indicated that she will have a long life, [but] the quality of her life will not be known for years to come," Bobby's lawyer Christopher Brown said.
The news comes amid claims that Kristina is now awake after Bobby Brown himself said at a concert: "I can say today, Bobbi is awake,"
According to CNN, Bobbi Kristina Brown actually remains unresponsive and that she's not even capable of noticing visitors and responding to their familiar voices.
