Former "Gossip Girl" actress Leighton Meester and husband Adam Brody are finally expecting their first child. Meester and Brody, who became engaged after a year of dating in November 2013, tied the knot in a private ceremony in February 2014.
In a recent sighting, Leighton Meester was spotted flaunting her visibly pregnant stomach with husband Adam Brody as the couple went out for a lunch date in Los Angeles on Saturday. According to Pop Sugar, Leighton showed off her growing belly in a body-hugging gray tank top.
Since October, rumors have circulated about Leighton Meester's pregnancy. And when she was featured in Nylon magazine in November, Yahoo! Celebrity revealed that the 29-year-old actress hinted that she was ready to be a mom.
"Most people I know are starting to get married," she said. "It'll be kids next. I like the grown-up stuff. I like having a house. I've got dogs."
"I started [Gossip Girl] when I was so young," Meester continued. "And once it was over, I wanted to do things that were exciting and challenging and more me - more my adult taste."
In August last year, Meester's husband Adam Brody, 35, also joked about having a huge family.
"I say twelve," Brody said, Daily Mirror quoted. "And I decide."
Meanwhile, Leighton Meester and Adam Brody have yet to confirm that they are expecting their first child. However, People noted that it's no surprise that the private couple opted to be mum since they also never commented on their secret nuptials.
In separate news, soon-to-be-parents Leighton Meester and Adam Brody recently starred in the movie, "Life Partners," together. As per Daily Mail, she admitted that she loved to mix business with pleasure.
"I always want to work with people that I like and love and people that I'm friends with. It's nice to mix business with pleasure," she revealed. She also said that she didn't mind seeing her husband kissing co-star Gillian Jacobs in the movie either.
"I think, if anything, I think that they pulled it off really well," she continued. "I think it's good to have that kind of history, and if that makes it awkward, it works because it's kind of awkward kissing people for the first time. But I think that it didn't look awkward, so I don't know. They look in love."
Over the past few months, Leighton Meester has been secretive about her personal life. But in March, rumors about Meester's pregnancy circulated after photos emerged that the "Good Girls Go Bad" singer was hiding a baby bump in plain sight during her performance in Vancouver.
