Justin Beiber Grows in His Career With Release of New Album

Justin Bieber is making a career transition from teen heart throb to a more mature artist, with the release of his new album Believe. 18-year-old Bieber has noticeably matured since his first album, My World, which dropped in 2009 .

Aside from the fact that he is actually older than he was at the time, a lot of talk about his music sounding much more mature has been circulating. He has moved on from his days of soundtracks like "Baby" and has progressed to tracks like "Boyfriend".

According to MTV News, those who worked alongside Bieber while he created his album, said that the artist valued expanding his brand beyond the teenage market. However, he still hopes to keep that group of fans under his belt.

"The only conversation we've had about Justin's album that we're about to do is it's really important that it's the proper transition because we've seen him [with] 'Baby,' now we're watching him grow up," Bieber's vocal producer, Kuk Harrell, told MTV News. "And we can't just throw him into the adult game right away. It has to be the proper transition. There's a record in between."

In addition to his music showing maturity, Bieber has gotten the opportunity to take on very adult responsibilities throughout his career. Although he hit the scene less than three years ago, Bieber has done several world tours, topped music charts, and has even signed his own new artist, Carly Rae Jepsen.

"He's growing and so is his music," Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, said. "And I don't think he's transitioning and losing any fans. I think he's just growing. We always study Michael Jackson and the thing I loved about his career is he never lost that 2-year-old that bounced to his music. But at the same time, you'd go to a club and there were adults bouncing also. And I think that's what we want to do with Justin."

Bieber's new album, marking his career transition into adulthood, will be celebrated during "Bieber Live," showing Tuesday at 7:30pm ET/PT on MTV.

Sway and 100 of Biebers fans will be joined by the singer for an interview and several performances.
