Jon Hamm appeared on stage last night to give "The Daily Show" host an overwhelming tribute. Stewart announced early February that he is leaving the Comedy Central program, which he has been anchoring for the past 16 years.
"The Daily Show" is an icon in the political comedy field. It is the show that ushered a new light to the 'fake news' idea.
Time reported that the staff of the show, mindful that time is winding down for the host, is ensuring that he will absolutely be remembered once he leaves the show. So how did they do it?
By drowning the Web with awesome cuts of Stewart's first-class hosting moments including last night's musical montage. A collection of Stewart doing his best to belt out songs, which usually happens in the show.
Hamm entered the stage to introduce the video while Stewart was in the middle of talking to his audience, much to the delight of the crowd and to Stewart's surprise.
He said that he has been a fan of the host for the longest time ever and, despite critics applauding his comedic criticisms and commentary nobody has made notice of Stewart's incredible singing voice.
He went on to say, "It's like Bette Midler, Barbra Streisand and Luciano Pavarotti had a threesome and gave birth to a perfect set of vocal chords - yours," as told by Esquire.
According to Huffington Post, Stewart showed a clip Tuesday night revealing the conservatives had some big wins despite having huge losses last week with the rulings of the Supreme Court both in favor of gay marriage and the Affordable Care Act.
"Did the Court reaffirm America as officially awesome?" Stewart exclaimed. "Did they declare Reagan on all of our currency? Can eagles drive now?"
The Supreme Court favored Oklahoma's debatable lethal drug injection and voted against the EPA's regulations on toxic emmissions coming from power plants.
Stewart's summary was, "So yes, gay people have the right to marry, and poor people have the right to insurance -- but on the bright side, Americans can still kill prisoners painfully and everyone else slowly."
