Harry Shearer Returns To 'The Simpsons!'

Harry Shearer returns to "The Simpsons!"

Business Standard reported that Harry Shearer has just inked a $13 million deal to make a comeback on the well-loved American animated TV sitcom after quitting earlier this year.

It can be recalled that the actor declared in May that he will be leaving the longest running show after 26 years, which debuted in 1989.

Harry Shearer's return in "The Simpsons" affirmed that he will now be included in Season 27 and 28 of the show, allowing him to have an estimated pay out of $300,000 for every episode. The deal also has a stipulation that Shearer has an option to sign up for two more additional seasons if the show will run up to its 30th season.

The man responsible for the voices of the Simpsons' neighbor, Ned Flander, the wicked billionaire Mr. Burns and other minor characters comes back to give the audience more entertainment.

"Simpsons" producer-director David Silverman told The Washington Post, "It's great to have Harry back. We have the confidence to know that when we want Mr. Burns... or Principal Skinner... or Mr. Smithers, you know it's going to be true and coming from the man who came up with those voices."

Esquire revealed that the dispute between Shearer and his superiors were divulged to the public last May. "Simpson's" show runner Al Jean exhorted that the primetime TV show would continue despite the actor's departure and that his characters would live on through new and talented voice replacements. However, discussions have been going on between the two parties to smoothen whatever issues there were for the past two months to bring back Shearer.

In the end, numerous followers of the hit show get to experience the original voice of their well-loved characters again.

Harry Shearer coming back to "The Simpsons" is more than reason enough to sit on the couch and turn on the TV.
