The battle for dominance in the phone manufacturing industry continues between Apple and Samsung. Apple may have been on top for a while with its iPhone 6; however, with Samsung's latest S6, the South Korea tech giant has made one hell of a comeback.
So which is better? Let's take a closer look on these five aspects and make a comparison.
1. Apple iPhone 6 Vs Samsung Galaxy S6: Design & Build
iPhone 6 has a softer shape with carefully designed rounded edges. Its build quality is fashioned from a high-grade aluminium.
It is very thin, with dimensions 138.1mm x 67mm x 6.9mm and lightweight at 129 grams.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy S6 is now gorgeously designed with Gorilla Glass 4. It's also sporting a metal wraparound frame.
Its dimensions are 143.4mm x 70.5mm x 6.8mm with a weight of 138 grams.
2. Apple iPhone 6 Vs Samsung Galaxy S6: Display
iPhone 6 has a 334x750-pixel resolution at 326ppi in a 4.7-inch display, while Galaxy S6 has a screen of 5.1 inches with a 1440 x 2560 Quad-HD Super AMOLED display resolution at 577ppi.
3. Apple iPhone 6 Vs Samsung Galaxy S6: Processor & Hardware
Apple has its own processor hardware. The latest is the 1.4 GHz dual-core A8 chip with 64-bit architecture and M8 motion coprocessor.
It seems pretty slow compared to Android's qualcomm. However, the company wanted to take control of its application ecosystem, and this means that each content is carefully designed to match the handset's hardware, Know Your Mobile reported.
Meanwhile, Samsung has 64-bit 14nm Exynos 7 Octa processor with four cores running at 1.5GHz and four others running at 2.1GHz. This simply means that all cores can be used at once for heavy-duty tasks. In addition, the octa-core chips offer better power efficiency.
Galaxy S6 has 3GB of LPDDR4 RAM with storage variants of 32GB, 64GB or 128GB of UFS 2.0 flash memory, while iPhone 6 has 1GB LPDDR3 RAM with almost the same storage variants as the S6's.
4. Apple iPhone 6 Vs Samsung Galaxy S6: Camera
iPhone 6 offers a 1.2MP, f/2.2 front camera and an 8MP, f/2.2 rear. Galaxy S6's front camera is a 5MP snapper with f/1.9, while the rear is 16MP shooter with f/1.9.
The bottom-right corner of the screen launches the camera app in iPhone 6, but one must first swipe upward on a camera icon. Galaxy S6, on the other hand, has a quick launch feature that lets one access the camera by double-tapping the home button, according to Forbes.
5. Apple iPhone 6 Vs Samsung Galaxy S6: Call Quality
Calls made using Samsung's Galaxy S6 are more explicit than those made using Apple's iPhone 6, according to iTech Post. The voice from the iPhone's earpiece sounds hollow and muddy compared to S6's, which is crisper and clearer.
