More than 130,000 fans attended the 2015 Comic-Con in San Diego, California. Heroes, villains and different creatures have gathered together, bringing life to the convention center.
One of the first day's highlights is "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2." Led by Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss Everdeen) and Josh Hutcherson (Peta Mellark), the "Mockingjay" cast took their final bow at this International event.
Over the last four years, LionsGate successfully exhibited "The Hunger Games" franchise — pilot trailer release, fans engaging in some sorts of activities to have special access to panels and teaser clips.
The "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2" panel opened in a substantial way, ABC News reported. Marching through the exhibit hallway is an army of drummers dressed in white, striking what sounded like a ceremonious beat.
Nearly 6,500 convention attendees witnessed the premiere of the movie's official trailer on Thursday. The scene showed scenes of the burning Capitol in Panem and glimpses of all of Everdeen's relationship, from her sister Prim to Plutarch, according to Stuff.co.
Filming the last installment of the movie franchise was emotional for Lawrence, Hutcherson and their co-star Liam Hemsworth (Gale Hawthorne), who was also present at the convention, CNN Philippines learned.
"The changes that happened in my life from doing these movies are so permanent that I don't think I'll ever really say goodbye, it'll always be a part of me," Lawrence, 24, said.
Meanwhile, Hemsworth said an intriguing statement, almost hinting the fans of a possible bromance between him and Hutcherson.
"We have this really emotional scene together," Hemsworth, 25, said during their Comic-con panel. "And there might be a kiss between Josh and I."
This fourth installment concludes the dystopian film as Everdeen leads a revolution to fight the oppression of President Snow.
The film is scheduled to hit U.S. theaters on Nov. 20.
