"Flash" Season 2 is set to air this coming October and producers and the lead star of the show gave some details about the upcoming season.
Hypable reported that "Flash" Season 2 will start a few months after what happened in Season 1 — a wormhole appeared and Barry tried to stop it.
Executive producer Greg Berlanti said that season 1 introduced viewers to metahumans because of the effect of the particle accelator and for season 2, they are going to top that by introducing new characters form "Earth 2."
According to io9, Barry felt like a lone wolf at the start of the new season. He's struggling with the fact that it was Eddie who stopped Reverse Flash and he's the one who's getting all the credit. He's in a dark place and doesn't know how he could trust people again.
Barry is also not sure if he can be the hero that everyone wants him to be. Also, when a new group of metahumans appear, Barry will start questioning his ability to protect Central City.
This season, fans are also going to see Jay Garrick in action. Den of Geek reported that Teddy Sears was cast to play the role. Jay Garrick, to put it simply, is Flash from another timeline.
Jay Garrick was described as a mysterious character that appeared in Central. No one knows if he's going to be a new mentor, or if he is going to be like Dr. Wells. His purpose in coming to Central City is to give warning to Barry and the rest of the team at S.T.A.R Labs of an imminent danger that even Barry can't stop.
The big bad guy for this season is Zoom and executive producer Andrew Kreisberg is going to be faster than all of them — even faster than Reverse Flash and Flash.
What an epic season for "Flash." There'll be new villains, another Flash from another Earth and there's even a new love interest for Barry.
"Flash" Season 2 is set to premiere on October 6, 2015.
