The Games are hoping to recruit people who are out of work, as well as students. Over 100,000 people are expected to be salaried employees at the Games.
They are looking to employ people of various skills, experiences, and backgrounds in fields such as IT, catering, construction, cleaning, ticketing, and much more.
Recruitment is currently taking place and various organizations and contractors, have open slots for interested workers.
Those interested in contractor jobs can find open opportunities in hospitality, waste management, event services, retail, security, and traffic management.
Those who want to be more in on the action can work with the ceremonies department as access managers and volunteer performer casts.
People interested in more behind the scenes work can work with the London 2012 Organizing Committee (LOCOG), preparing venues, ticketing, helping with sports equipment, and hiring people to make the Games a success.
According to the London 2012 Olympics official site "The vision of London 2012 is to use the power of the Games to inspire lasting change."
