Motorola gears up to release its Moto X 2015, along with other phones, as reports from Christian Today revealed a leaked image of the third generation device on Chile's largest network provider, Entel.
The launching of Moto X 2015 was reportedly moved from August to September, according to Phandroid.
There are no official statements yet from Motorola. However, an intelligent guess can be formulated based on the given fact that the first generation of Moto X shipped out in August 2013 and the second one in September 2014. Hypothetically, the release of Moto X 2015 may happen between these months.
A rugged design is anticipated for this new phone, to be called the Moto X Sport. The target market are sports enthusiasts, so it's expected that it will be more water and dust-resistant, making it more durable for extreme activities.
Rumor has it that the device's specs will include a 5.2-inch display with full HD resolution. The Gospel Herald found out that the device may carry an 810 Snapdragon processor with 3 GB RAM and an internal storage of 128GB.
In addition, the rear camera will have a 16-megapixel lens, while the front facing one will have a 5-megapixel.
Meanwhile, Moto G 2015 is also speculated to be released together with the Moto X 2015. While the Sport is reportedly housing a 1.5 GHz quadcore processor, Moto G will have a quadcore 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor.
The Moto G is expected to come with 1GB RAM and 8GB storage. It will also have a 5-inch display, with 13 megapixel rear and 5 megapixel front camera. It might run Google's latest firmware, Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop). However, this has yet to be confirmed.
Meanwhile, many believe that Motorola, Lenovo's subsidiary, will make the announcement at the 2015 Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin (IFA), the world's top trade show for electronic devices and home appliances, which will happen between Sept. 4 and 9.
