Caitlyn Jenner Continues To Make Waves; Will She Run For Public Office?

Caitlyn Jenner has received enormous praise and support for her decision to come out and admit that she is a transgender woman. She has provided inspiration to others who were experiencing what she has gone through.

It has been a whirlwind ride for the former reality star of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians." Because of this, she has penned a post on her website entitled "The future looks bright," telling her millions of followers how grateful she was for the comments they sent her.

She wrote, "Even though I can't get back to each and every one of you, I want you to know that I'm reading your kind words and that they mean the world to me."

The 65-year-old star of her own reality TV documentary "I am Cait" added that the overwhelming show of support from her followers was so "incredible" her site crashed, as per The Straits Times.

Relatively, her newfound freedom allowed her to explore her fashion style. Recently, she was spotted having a quick lunch date at Sugarfish, a sushi restaurant in Beverly Hills, with daughter Kendall and her friend Hailey Baldwin. Kendall and Baldwin were in their workout attire having been to the gym earlier that day, while Caitlyn was sashaying in a pencil skirt showing off her long legs, as the paparazzi feasted on them, TMZ has learned.

Meanwhile, according to E! News, Caitlyn recently announced that she is a conservative Republican. She is headed toward a perplexing crossroads of celebrity, entertainment, advocacy and politics as the GOP is immensely known for opposing women's rights, LGBT issues and same-sex marriage.

Her declaration was just in time with candidates busily dropping their names into the race for 2016 presidency — meaning she has stumbled into a political conversation.

Gregory Angelo, national executive director for Log Cabin Republicans said, "One of the more interesting and exciting things about Caitlyn Jenner is that potential she has to bridge these two worlds of entertainment and politics."

"What it has shown me is this is not a partisan issue. There is educational work that needs to be done on both sides. So whether Caitlyn is ready or not, she is high-profile," Angelo added. "Political figures are weighing in on her and her politics, and I think there is a tremendous opportunity for her to use her own voice in all of this."

So will Caitlyn Jenner become the first transgendered Republican? While the answer remains bleak, if she decides to run for public office, she has the opportunity to change the public's opinions and may probably help Republicans win come election time.
