Halle Berry and ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry faced off in court over their kid's support. Berry's kid trial happened on Tuesday, as per the exclusive report of TMZ.
The "X-Men: Days of Future Past" actress reportedly wanted a judge to reduce the amount of the support she's paying Aubry from $16,000 per month to around $3,000.
The "Extant" actress said she was happy to pay him the said amount to care for their 7-year-old daughter, Nahla Ariela, when he has the physical custody. However, she claimed he [Aubry] is avoiding work and is using the money.
The Hollywood star is claiming that the 38-year-old model is spending most of the money on his own needs — fitness ($700), clothing ($1,000) and car expense ($2,000) — instead of providing all of needs of Halle Berry's kid.
The 48-year-old actress, together with her lawyer, submitted a document in November, Daily Mail has learned.
It allegedly stated, "There is no case, no law, no logic that says a healthy, active man gets to simply live off child support that the wealthier mother earns."
Aubry is countering this request, claiming that he had been struggling to find a job since Olivier Martinez, Berry's current spouse, broke his face the day after Thanksgiving in 2012.
He was a successful model until that incident happened.
He had a swollen black eye. There were noticeable cuts on his left eye, forehead and the bridge of his nose. Furthermore, he claimed that he was threatened by Martinez.
He was hospitalized with broken ribs following the brawl. A judge issued an emergency protective order that prevented him from coming within 100 yards from Martinez, Berry and their daughter.
The "Monster's Ball" star and the Canadian model met in a Versace shoot, according to Hiphop Wired. Ever since their breakup in 2010, they have been fighting over everything, including money.
Berry and Aubry have joint custody over their kid.
