One Direction fans are joining forces to protect Harry Styles after the singer received creepy and threatening messages on his Twitter account.
Stuff.Co.NZ reported that the threatening message came from Twitter user @DTAustin21. The account has been suspended but the message that was posted already reached loyal One Direction fans. The messages were "I made this account to let everyone know that Harry Styles will die, August 5th 2015, at MetLife Stadium," "He ruined my little sister's life and he will now pay" and "Enjoy MetLife you little girls."
Fans are rallying and advising Harry Styles to be careful making #HarryBeCareful a trending topic worldwide. But Gossip Cop reported that despite efforts to stop @DTAustin21, new messages were sent on Tuesday from @DTAustin21x that read: "Harry Styles Will Die and No one Will be able to Stop it." The account was once again suspended.
Other messages mocked the trending #HarryBeCareful and that Harry Styles is not who he seems to be. The message also stressed that the sender is serious and will carry on with the plan.
Some fans hope that this is just a sick joke, but they think that Harry's team need to take extra precaution during the concert next month. They are suggesting stricter guidelines and tighter security for all the members of One Direction. Harry Style's reps have yet to comment about the incident. There's still no news on what step are they going to take to protect Harry and the rest of the group.
Inquisitr reported that Metlife responded to the death threats and said that they are aware of the threats that Harry Styles have been receiving. They assured fans that the matter is now being investigated.
The One Direction concert with Icona Pop is indeed happening on August 5, at 7 p.m., at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
