The Graduate Management Admission Council made an announcement recently that the number of GMAT tests taken, dropped from 263,979 in 2010 to 258,192 in 2011, which portrays the decline in applicants to graduate business programs. It is possible that the decline in applications is linked to the job market.
There is a very competitive job market facing M.B.A.'s when they graduate which leads many students to pay particular close attention to the employment data that their prospective schools report.
