According to the Associated Press, British Singer Adele confirmed on Friday that she is pregnant.
The Grammy winner is expecting her first child with boyfriend Simon Konecki. The message was posted on her official website, which crashed due to an immense amount of traffic after the news was announced.
"I'm delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together. I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we're over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time," Adele said on the website.
It is still unclear how far along the singer is in her pregnancy.
Adele's latest album has been certified 16 times platinum in the UK; in the United States and the album has held the top position longer than any other album since 1985. She won six Grammy's earlier this year for her bestselling album entitled "21." Although that album was based on heartbreak, she since has found love with Konecki.
