Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert have reportedly divorced. The beloved country music couple joined the latest list of Hollywood breakups after four years of marriage and six years of dating. Though the ex-lovers have been plagued by incessant breakup and infidelity rumors, Shelton has reportedly never been unfaithful to Lambert.
The reason for the Blake Shelton-Miranda Lambert divorce is still unknown. But one angle points to Shelton's alleged infidelity. However, a source told People that despite being around women and being linked to various "The Voice" contestants he's mentoring, Shelton never cheated on Lambert.
"Blake is just that incredibly loyal and dedicated husband," an insider said. "I can guarantee you he has been faithful to that woman."
The decision to divorce was announced Monday by 39-year-old Blake Shelton and 31-year-old Miranda Lambert, who got married in Texas in 2011.
"This is not the future we envisioned," the ex-couple said in a statement. "And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter."
As Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert took on the divorce route in their relationship, showbiz insiders can't help wondering who will take a bigger cut from their $90 million combined net worth, $60 million of which belonged to Shelton while $30 million to Lambert, as Celebrity Net Worth listed.
Since the judge just signed the divorce docs, Blake Shelton, who reportedly filed the papers 2 weeks ago, and Miranda Lambert are now officially single. The divorce was that easy because the couple had signed a pre-nuptial agreement, TMZ has learned. So, does this mean nobody walks away with a bigger cut?
Meanwhile, Miranda Lambert tried to keep a brave face in front of her fans at the Cheyenne Frontier Days Festival on Saturday, just two days before the divorce confirmation announcement. According to Daily Mail, the blonde country songstress stopped before singing out her ballad as she broke down in tears and asked the crowd to sing along with her.
"Tell you what, a thing anyone wants to do is cry in front of 10,000 people," Lambert told the audience, with her voice noticeably trembling with overcome emotion.
