Contrary to rumors that supermodel Cara Delevingne and girlfriend St. Vincent have called it quits after eight months of dating, a source told Daily Mail that the two lovebirds maintains their long-distance relationship and "couldn't be happier."
Cara Delevingne, 22, and girlfriend St. Vincent, 32, whose real name is Anne Erin "Annie" Clark, spend time apart because of work commitments. Cara is busy promoting in North America her new movie called "Paper Towns," while singer St. Vincent is in Europe for her tour.
"They're still together and very happy. Everyone seems to want them to split up — but the fact is Annie is in Europe on tour and Cara is working in the States. They couldn't be happier and the latest reports are yet again just ridiculous," detailed the source.
This reaction came after a report from Page Six said that the pair had recently called it quits after being together for eight months.
Cara Delevingne and girlfriend St. Vincent were first spotted together at the afterparty of Universal BRITs in February, but they were said to have begun dating as early as December 2014. The model-turned-actress confirmed their status early this year, just a couple of days after they made their debut in public in Los Angeles at a fashion event.
According to Mirror, Cara confessed in Vogue's July issue about her sexuality which gained her support from her fans. She said: "I think that being in love with my girlfriend is a big part of why I'm feeling so happy with who I am these days. And for those words to come out of my mouth is actually a miracle."
This strong statement coming from Cara Delevingne marked the first time she acknowledged her preference for both sexes, which she wasn't sure if she could accept wholeheartedly at first.
"Women are what completely inspire me, and they have also been my downfall," she explained, "It took me a long time to accept the idea, until I first fell in love with a girl at 20 and recognised that I had to accept it," as per Hollywood Life.
Cara Delevingne and girlfriend St. Vincent have yet to release their official statements regarding the controversy their relationship is facing.
