Best Buy is cutting the price on Apple's new 15.4-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display with 256GB flash storage. The deal will offer discounts between $50 and $140 to customers.
The retailer is extending its generosity to Apple customers in the month of July, offering sales on iMac all-in-ones, iPod devices, and MacBook Pro and MacBook Air laptops.
The price chop may however appear minuscule, as the final sale price of the MacBook Pro is $2,090.
Best Buy's MacBook Pro offer is available to customers who purchase the device as in-store pick-up only. According to pcworld.com, most stores within California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Montana, New York, Texas, and Wyoming, did not have sale items available in surrounding Best Buy locations.
The long awaited MacBook Pro was introduced at Apples' WWDC event in early June, where the price was announced to be in the $2,200 range.
Apple users are eager for the MacBook Pro with Retina display which offers Intel's 2.3 GHz quad-core Ivy Bridge Core i7 processor, 2 x Thunderbolt ports, 720p Webcam, HDMI out, and 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth as some of its features.
It is not certain how long the Best Buy sale will last on the MacBook Pro, however students who miss out on the deal are given an even better markdown through Apple's education discount. The reduction is available through the company's online store, which gives students up to $200 off Apple products and a $100 iTunes gift card.
