Lily Rabe has appeared in all of the past four seasons of the FX thriller series, "American Horror Story." Now, she is in talks of joining the cast of the upcoming "AHS: Hotel." So, what will be her role as she makes her "AHS" comeback this fall?
Lily Rabe's "American Horror Story" comeback was initially announced on Jul. 22 by Entertainment Weekly. And though her role is still in deliberation, E! News noted that it will be both exciting and somewhat curious since she has already played three different roles in the previous seasons of the FX anthology series.
In season 1, "American Horror Story" veteran Lily Rabe played the role of Nora Montgomery. While she was Sister Mary Eunice in season 2 whereas in the third season, she played Misty Day. But in the fourth season, Rabe boosted up her character as she appeared as Sister Mary Eunice again but in flashbacks.
In "American Horror Story: Hotel," however, Lily Rabe might return playing a brand new role. Rabe's casting is not really a surprise since creator Ryan Murphy announced at the Comic-Con San Diego event that the upcoming season will emphasize the idea that all "AHS" seasons are connected, with characters from previous seasons paying a visit to the hotel, Us Weekly reported.
So, what would Lily Rabe's "AHS" role be? As reported by Huffington Post, Rabe will be checking into the hotel as a notorious serial killer. And, seemingly confirming the report, the "American Horror Story" official Twitter account posted a tweet, along with a link to the previously reported story.
"A familiar face just wandered into the Hotel lobby," the tweet read.
Meanwhile, "AHS" fans are already guessing what era "Hotel" takes place in. And while it's quite unsure yet, the ensemble cast featuring Sarah Paulson as Hypodermic Sally, Evan Peters as Mr. March, Kathy Bates as Iris and Matt Bomer as Donovan, is somewhat a definite news. The season will also star Lady Gaga, Chloe Sevigny, Emma Roberts Angela Bassett, Finn Wittrock, Wes Bentley, Max Greenfield, Denis O'Hare and Cheyenne Jackson.
The only missing piece in the cast is Jessica Lange, who Murphy confirmed would not be returning this season. However, he did say that she might return next season.
Catch Lily Rabe as a serial killer in "American Horror Story: Hotel" as it premieres on FX this October.
