Stratford Career Institute has announced that it will be offering florist and floral design courses that can be done independently through the guidance of the distant learning program.
The recently updated course covers various topics in regards to floral design and is taught through four primary modules. Three of them focus solely on floriculture designing and merchandising, and the last focuses on entrepreneurship and how to begin your own floral business and store.
The florist and floral design course initially teaches students about the basics of flowers and foliages, design, and the procedures used in creating floral designs. Students are also taught how to arrange and dry flowers, design ideas, and much more.
According to Stratford, by the end of the course, students should know how to handle and maintain flowers and plants, dry and preserve them, create boutonnieres and corsages, create arrangements for all occasions, apply design techniques, and market their flowers and plants to customers.
"Whether you have a serious interest in working toward a career in floral design or simply love it as a hobby, this is a wonderfully insightful and thorough program. It provides an exceptional amount of knowledge to individuals of all skills," said Dr. Claude Major, Director of Education for Stratford Career Institute, in a press release.
