Shawn Johnson officially ENGAGED!
Olympic Games gold medalist Shawn Johnson got the surprise of her life Friday when an ordinary date with boyfriend NFL player Andrew East at a baseball game at Chicago's Wrigley Field turned out to be a life-changing event.
The 23-year-old gymnast and boyfriend Andrew East together with fellow gymnast from Team USA Alicia Quinn were at the baseball game to kick off the first official pitch for the Cubs Vs. Phillies match, as per Daily Mail.
As Shawn Johnson was about to leave the mound, her boyfriend Andrew East dropped down on his knees and asked her hand in marriage.
Of course she said yes! Shawn Johnson just got engaged!
She took to Twitter to share the happy news. "Today the love of my life asked me to be his forever... AND I SAID YES!! #isaidyes #weregettingmarried #wrigleyfield," the Olympic games gymnast wrote.

According to People, the newly engaged pair also posted on both their Instagram accounts the momentous event. Together with the video the Cubs posted originally, Shawn Johnson placed a caption: "Well I know its not a secret...But I experienced the greatest surprise a girl could ever ask for today...The love of my life @andrewdeast asked me to be his forever AND I SAID YES!!!!!! #isaidyes #weregettingmarried #holycow."

Andrew East also shared a snap of himself, on his knees with the caption: "I'm a lucky guy to put a ring on this girls finger! I love you @shawnjohnson."

In the posted video, as per E! News, Andrew East's voice was barely audible, but the look on Shawn Johnson's shocked face revealed all the details. Her yes to her boyfriend's question was followed by a gigantic hug with the newly engaged gymnast jumping into her man's arms.
Followers of both athletes were certainly happy with the news that Shawn Johnson's status is now engaged and certainly out of the dating game.
