In the continuing saga of rappers Drake vs Meek Mill's clash, the Canadian rapper responded on Saturday via his radio show Beats 1 OVO Sound in the form of a track in response to Nicki Minaj's boyfriend's allegations that he was ghostwriting, as per Philly.com.
Meek Mill dissed Drake several days ago on Twitter that the rapper hired songwriters to assist him in his tracks.
Mill said, "Stop comparing Drake to me... He don't write his own raps!"
"That's why he ain't tweet my album because we found out!"
Stop comparing drake to me too.... He don't write his own raps! That's why he ain't tweet my album because we found out!
He also accused Drake of failing to promote on social media his “R.I.C.O” track from his album “Dreams Worth More Than Money,” where the rapper was featured.
Throughout Meek Mill’s tirade on social media, Drake has kept silent. But as per Billboard, he premiered “Charged Up,” a new song as his rebuttal to Mill.
It seemed Drake was not angry at Meek Mill, rather, he was saddened. He could be heard saying in the track: “Wow, I’m honored you think this is staged, I’m flattered, man. In fact, I’m amazed.”
“I stay silent ’cause we’re at war and I’m very patient. God is watching. I just hope you’re prepared to face him. I’m charged up," he added.
“I seen it all coming. Knew they were pushing buttons. Easter egg hunting. They gotta look for something. Done doing favors for people. ‘Cause it ain’t like I need the money I make off a feature,” Drake continued, as per EntertainThis!.
Naturally, Meek Mill responded to Drake’s rap. Nicki Minaj’s boyfriend fired on Twitter the following posts: “Baby lotion soft” and “I can tell he wrote that 1 tho.”
