A year after she exited the talk show, Sherri Shepherd will be rejoining "The View" for the start of the new season in September.
The 48-year-old closed a deal to return to the ABC daytime show as a lead contributor for the upcoming 19th season, according to Deadline.
Shepherd, who left "The View" last August after failing to agree on details of her contract with the network, is reportedly set to be part of approximately 50 episodes.
Her return is believed to be a part the show's overhaul this summer as a way to build up ratings, which have plummeted following a rough 18th season, the first after co-creator Barbara Walters' exit.
One of the most popular "The View" co-hosts of the past 10 years, Shepherd appeared as guest host on the show last May and will now be among a number of contributors including Stacey London and Molly Sims.
"The View' will return with five hosts next season, with Raven-Symoné, Michelle Collins and Whoopi Goldberg already aboard. The trio will then be joined by Paula Faris and Candice Cameron.
Sherri Shepherd has spent seven seasons on the daytime talk show. After leaving the show last year, she got a handful of acting projects such as recently appearing in the TV Land sitcom "The Soul Man" and the comedy "Top Five," Gossip Cop reported.
She has just also wrapped up shooting a supporting role alongside Kevin Hart and Ice Cube in the comedy sequel "Ride Along 2."
Shepherd's break from the show last year was accompanied by a highly-publicized custody battle with her ex-husband Lamar Sally, 44.
She filed for divorce from Sally in May last year just three years after they tied the knot. And in July, Sally petitioned a Los Angeles court for full custody of a baby they were expecting via surrogate, Daily Mail has learned.
