‘Deadpool’ Cast, Trailer & Release Date: Ryan Reynolds To Reveal Film’s Red Band Trailer on ‘Conan’ on Aug. 4

The first official red band trailer for Marvel's upcoming "Deadpool" movie will be unveiled by lead actor Ryan Reynolds on Aug. 4.

The film's star will show the clip during his appearance on Conan O'Brien's late-night talk show "Conan" on the TBS network.

Then, on Aug. 7, another version of the trailer, which is more family-friendly, will be released with the debut of another Marvel flick, the "Fantastic Four."

According to IGN, being a red band trailer, the clip which will be shown on "Conan" is expected to depict the actual adult-oriented theme of "Deadpool."

As previously confirmed by Reynolds, the film will be rated R, which is appropriate since the original comic book series is known for its violent content and sexual innuendos.

"There will be blood," Reynolds tweeted in April. "Guns. F-bombs. And graphic, expertly lit French Unicorn sex."

Super Hero Hype reported that the upcoming red band trailer will be 17 seconds longer than the green band clip or the one that will be released with the "Fantastic Four" film.

Cinema Blend noted that this extra time will probably showcase additional scenes of violence and foul language.

The "Deadpool" film is scheduled to hit theaters on Feb. 12, 2016. Reynolds' co-stars include "Serenity" actress Morena Baccarin, Ed Skrein of HBO's "Game of Thrones" and renowned mixed martial artist Gina Carano.

In the upcoming film, Reynolds will reprise his role as Wade Wilson from 2009's "X-Men Origins: Wolverine."

After serving under the Special Forces, Wilson turns into a mercenary. He then gains superhuman healing abilities after being subjected to underground government experiments. Using his new powers, he goes on a mission to track down those who conducted the procedures on him.

Dubbed as the "Merc with a Mouth," Reynolds' Deadpool will have a talkative nature and will break the fourth wall in the film, just like the original comic book character did.
