"Xena: Warrior Princess," a spin off of "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys" was among the best-selling syndicated series in 1995 up to 2001. It even made Lucy Lawless a household name when it ran for six seasons. Of course, who could forget her equally famous sidekick Renee O'Connor who played Gabrielle?
This week, as per UPI, the former castmates reunited and shared a selfie together on Instagram, on Wednesday. Lucy Lawless, 47, can be seen in the snap with Renee O'Connor putting on a big smile for the camera. Her selfie was captioned: "Still hanging with my gal #Reneeoconnor @reallucylawless #xena #gabrielle."

Their get-together once again triggered speculations that Lucy Lawless may be in the reboot of "Xena: Warrior Princess" in 2016.
At the recent San Diego Comic-Con held in July, Lawless gave her support for the said reboot and said Hitfix production firms are "fools not to bring [the show] back."
Furthermore, Entertainment Weekly reported that Lucy Lawless disclosed details about "Xena: Warrior Princess" reboot. According to the "Spartacus: Blood and Sand" alum, if indeed NBC was planning a reboot, she's not in any way involved. However, there's a big possibility that the network might be pushing through with the series, minus her involvement.
Lawless continued that Robert Tapert, her husband and one of the creators of "Xena: Warrior Princess," received word about a reboot. She said, "There was a conversation they had a year ago, maybe longer," and clarified that he is not presently associated to a remake.
The talented actress said, "If there's anything current going on, we're not involved - we being me, Rob, Sam. But they could be doing it without us, they have the right to, don't they? But we are not. I'd love to see it happen and I know that NBC wants to do it, but they're just trying to find a way and a time."
On a positive note, Lawless has shown interest in reprising her role in "Xena: Warrior Princess" but in a smaller magnitude.
"I would love to do a reboot getting Xena, Gabrielle [Renee O'Connor], Autolycus [Bruce Campbell] and Jox [Ted Raimi] back together, get that crew back together to solve some ridiculous problem. I'd love to do a TV movie or a movie, a limited thing."
A full-time role though was out of the question. Lawless disclosed, "I really couldn't live that life. I look back, I've got all sort of wear and tear from that lifestyle. That's just what happens to human bodies when they get used a certain way a lot. I actually couldn't do it. I'm 47, but there's somebody great out there."
Meanwhile, whether Lucy Lawless will appear in "Xena: Warrior Princess" or not, the public will have to wait for further details regarding the reboot. For now, Lawless will be visible on television again via the spin-off of Starz's "Ash Vs. The Evil Dead" with Bruce Campbell which will premiere on Oct. 31, as per Daily Mail.
