"Zoolander 2 is back! Yep, you heard it! Ben Stiller will make you laugh once more as he reprises his role as the handsome but dumb Derek Zoolander.
According to ComingSoon.Net, Paramount Pictures has released the teaser trailer for Ben Stiller's "Zoolander 2." The trailer was played in movie houses together with "Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation," which caught the audiences by surprise.
Ben Stiller had previously disclosed details about the script for "Zoolander 2."
He said, "It's ten years later and most of it is set in Europe. It's basically Derek and Hansel ten years later — though the last movie ended on a happy note, a lot of things have happened in the meantime. Their lives have changed and they're not really relevant anymore. It's a new world for them."
After a decade of countless rumors that "Zoolander" will have a sequel, it was only in May, when Ben Stiller and co-star Owen Wilson hit Paris and crashed a runway, that the rumors were confirmed that "Zoolander 2" was indeed being filmed, as per Slate.
Ben Stiller directed "Zoolander 2" as well as co-produced it with Stuart Cornfeld. Justin Theroux of "Tropic Thunder" co-wrote the script. Members of the cast includes Owen Wilson as Hansel, Christine Taylor and Will Ferrell as Jacobim Mugatu. New faces such as Penélope Cruz, Cyrus Arnold as Derek Zoolander's son and Kristen Wiig appears in the film while Justin Bieber and Willie Nelson will have cameo roles.
"Zoolander 2" was shot in Rome for 12 weeks and around the renowned Cinecittà Studios.
Finally, after fifteen long years, viewers will have a glimpse of the good looking model cum assassin in the fresh teaser of "Zoolander 2." Entertainment Weekly described the trailer from Paramount Pictures as a brief travel through the evolution of human life and finally landing on Derek Zoolander's brain. Throughout the journey, die-hard followers would be delighted to see mermen, dictionary description for Eugoogly, an orange mocha frappucinos for days and a "no left turn" sign. The shot then zoomed out to the possessor of the brain who asked a very crucial question: "If God exists, then why did he make ugly people?"
Ben Stiller's "Zoolander 2" will hit theaters on February 12, 2016.
