Actor Brad Pitt's mother, Jane Pitt, bashed President Obama in a letter this week and encouraged voter support towards opposing candidate Mitt Romney.
The letter was written to the News-Leader in response to a reader's note encouraging Christians not to vote for Romney for president due to his Mormon beliefs. In the letter to the paper, Jane had no plans of holding her tongue.
She suggested that Christians have "prayerful consideration" as they decide who to vote for in the coming election. Jane stated that a vote against Mormonism would be the equivalent of supporting the pro-choice, pro-gay-marriage Obama.
She wrote, "a man who sat in Jeremiah Wright's church for years, did not hold a public ceremony to mark the National Day of Prayer, and is a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage."
Jane continued, "I think any Christian should spend much time in prayer before refusing to vote for a family man with high morals, business experience, who is against abortion, and shares Christian conviction concerning homosexuality just because he is a Mormon."
Brad's mother may not be too fond of gay-marriage, but her son is in a fact a big supporter of it. This became clear after he made a stage debut at an anti-proposition 8 play only several months ago. Brad is also a fan of Obama, as he and Angelina Jolie were spotted spending time with the president this past January.
