Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith really love each other, and do you know what else they love? Slamming cheating rumors and busting the bubble of naysayers who claim their romance is not bound to last that long.
On Monday, Will Smith denounced divorce rumors when he took the time to post a meaningful but sweet message about his relationship with Jada Pinkett, whom he lovingly calls his "Queen," People reports.
Will wrote on Facebook: "Under normal circumstances, I don't usually respond to foolishness. (Because it's contagious) But, so many people have extended me their 'deepest condolences' that I figured - 'What the hell... I can be foolish, too!' So, in the interest of redundant, repetitious, over & over-again-ness... Jada and I are... NOT GETTING A DIVORCE!!!!!!!!!!!!! : -).."
Perhaps Will had enough of all the rumors and speculations that they are at one time or another pondering on heading to splitsville.
But based on Will's post, it's obvious that they are not at all having some trouble in paradise. The "Suicide Squad" actor even assured fans that if he and the "Gotham" actress are getting a divorce, he will be the first one to announce it, as per E! News.
"I promise you all-ifI ever decide to divorce my Queen-I SWEAR I'll tell you myself. Dumb people should have to wear scarlet D's," he added in his post.
For those who are thinking that this is a one-sided call against rumor-makers, it isn't. Jada Pinkett Smith also defended her relationship with Will when she was interviewed by American Way Magazine.
"Every year there's a new [divorce rumor], and I'm like, 'Here we go. Get ready. Are ya holdin' on tight?'" the 43-year-old actress said.
She then went on to say, "Marriages go through shifts. And relationships go through shifts because in life things shift. So people are automatically like, 'What's going on? They must be getting a divorce.' Well, no. But when people feel those shifts and there's a mystery, they have to fill it with something."
The "Magic Mike XXL" star also said that the divorce rumors and whatever issues Hollywood media are throwing at them are not the worse things out there.
"I'm thankful for the Hollywood scrutiny, that that's my problem," Pinkett said, according to People. "There are mothers out there losing their sons, their husbands, their daughters. I'm blessed. So scrutinize me. I'll take that any day over what the majority of my people are dealing with on a daily basis. I dare not complain. Hollywood scrutiny has nothing on what I've survived just to be here."
Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith tied the knot in 1997, as per ABC News. They are parents to Jaden and Willow. Will also has a son named Trey from a previous relationship.
