"Metal Gear Solid 5's" release date is just around the corner. But even before that, many are already wondering what's going to happen after "The Phantom Pain." The departure of Hideo Kojima from Konami and the Metal Gear Solid series has left a lot fans thinking if the series will expand or will have a totally new plot.
If, somehow, Konami decides to create a whole new plot for the "Metal Gear" Universe, some people think Konami will lose even more money. But if they include someone in the game that players like, from the preceding Metal Gears, then they will have a reason to come back and play, to see how the story goes.
Questions arise if Konami will consider The Boss to star in the next "Metal Gear."
The Boss is the mentor of Naked Snake and the founding leader of the Cobra Unit, which was disbanded following World War II. At the end of "Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater," The Boss was defeated only to find out that the defeat was planned, according to Movie Pilot.
Fans believe that she's a powerful character to play in the next game of "Metal Gear" series.
The 2015 Gamescom, which will be held on Aug. 5-9 in Cologne, Germany, will probably shed some light on the future of the series. Details about the "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" are expected to be unveiled during the event; however, there are some details that have been already leaked online.
The much-awaited video of Mother Base will reportedly be shown at Gamescom, Bidness ETC learned. The mother base, for those who are not aware yet, is a mode where the player can manage his home base, which is important because it can significantly affect the player's game, may it be online or offline.
Rumor has it that the video for "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" will show how big the mother board is going to be. It will also showcase the Forward Operating Base gameplay, the base that will be used in online games.
Pictures were also released by Kojima on Twitter showing details of the mother base and the brand new bionic arm.
"Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" will be released on Sept. 1. It will available on Xbox One, PS4, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC platforms, according to Gaming Bolt.
