John Travolta is finally making headlines for more than just his alleged sexual advances on male masseurs and his rocky relationship with wife, Kelly Preston.
Travolta's new film "Savages," directed by Oliver Stone, hit the silver screen this weekend and has conjured up some great reviews. Both the plot and the cast of actors have been complimented for their riveting performance.
The storyline features Travolta as a corrupt DEA agent who has teamed up with a pair of pot-growers and their girlfriend, who gets abducted by cartel members.
Although Travolta has tried to keep his comments to the press at a low amidst recent claims of inappropriate advances filed against him, he hasn't been shy in talking about the film and its director.
"He's terrific. He's a genius," Travolta raved of Stone to OnTheRedCarpet.com. "He wants you to do the best performance while he watches you like a hawk. Your performance is watched, every word, every cadence and he really forces you to do your best work and then you come up with the things he paid you for, which is your own interpretation. He wants that too. He definitely wants that. He's quite brilliant."
Although fans may be fond of Travolta's role in the new film, several people are far from supporters of the star. Only weeks ago, one of Travolta's seven accusers of sexual harassment, wrote a tell-all book, "You'll Never Spa in This Town Again," revealing his experience of being sexually violated by the actor.
