Finally, after more than ten years of waiting, Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar will release the sneak peek of "Finding Dory," sequel to the well-loved animated film "Finding Nemo."
According to CrossMap, Chief Creative Officer of Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios, John Lasseter, will host the D23 Expo on August 14 at 3 p.m. in Anaheim, Calif.
Popular TV host Ellen DeGeneres is back as Dory, the best friend of Nemo's dad. if you were one of those curious enthusiasts who wants to know what will happen in "Finding Dory," read on (spoilers).
"Finding Dory" will reportedly start six months to a year succeeding the happenings in "Finding Nemo." This time around, Dory will explore the thought of reuniting with her kin.
Ellen, expressing elation in returning to voice Dory, said, "I have waited for this day for a long, long, long, long, long, long time. I'm not mad it took this long. I know the people at Pixar were busy creating Toy Story 16. But the time they took was worth it. The script is fantastic. And it has everything I loved about the first one: It's got a lot of heart, it's really funny, and the best part is — it's got a lot more Dory."
Andrew Stanton, Oscar-winning animation creator stated during the revelation of "Finding Dory" that, "There is no Dory without Ellen."
"She won the hearts of moviegoers all over the world — not to mention our team here at Pixar. One thing we couldn't stop thinking about was why she was all alone in the ocean on the day she met Marlin. In 'Finding Dory,' she will be reunited with her loved ones, learning a few things about the meaning of family along the way."
Aside from Ellen DeGeneres who headlines "Finding Dory," new cast members who will be joining her to give their voices to the characters are Diane Keaton as Dory's mother Jenny and Eugene Levy as her dad, Charlie, as per Movie News Guide.
Also expected to return for "Finding Dory" and aid Dory, the Pacific regal blue tang fish, are Albert Brooks as Marlin, the clownfish dad to Nemo, Vicki Lewis as Deb and Willem Dafoe as Gill.
In addition, as per VineReport, new cast members to be on board "Finding Dory" will be Kaitlin Olson as the adoptive sister killer whale and Ty Burell as Bailey, the beluga whale. Idris Elba and Dominic West are also reported to join but their roles have yet to be confirmed.
"Finding Dory" is scheduled to hit theaters on June 17, 2016.
