It has been reported earlier that NetherRealm Studios may have just hinted the Kombat Pack 2 for "Mortal Kombat X," after Tremor was unveiled to be the last character joining the Kombat Pack 1. A tweet from the game co-developer Ed Boon was found suggesting that the possibility of a Kombat Pack 2.
He shared a GIF of a person with a melting bloody face, and captioned it "I'm interpreting this as a sign: 'Meat' must be in Kombat Pack 2 #IfThereIsAKombatPack2."
All the while, fans thought that Tremor was the last of to join the DLC, but when the Chicago-based video game developer said he was that last for Kombat Pack 1, predictions of characters to join DLC continued.
Here are the possible "kombatants" lining up for the DLC slot, as per the Movie Pilot. The first name that surfaced was Smoke, who despite of not being a playable character, had a lot of "Mortal Kombat X" screen time.
Rain is another character requested to be a part of the playable characters. After Mileena — whom he had assisted in a mission of eliminating Kotal Kahn — was captured he went missing. Fujin, who had small appearances during the game, is also being requested by the fans.
Fans also wanted Baraka who was killed by D'Vorah, who was also presumed to be dead in the 31st issue of "Mortal Kombat X" comics. The News Hub learned that she regenerated her body when her insects devoured the corpses.
Going back to the game, "Mortal Kombat 9" character Cyrax, who was presumed dead" is also requested to re-join the game. Other characters rumored to join are Bo'Rai Cho, Kabal and Sareena.
Interestingly, there were speculations that Spawn would be added in "Mortal Kombat X" DLC. It may still be a rumor, but it's not totally baseless according to Cross Map.
The developer has already received a go signal from Todd McFarlene, Image Comics founder, to feature Spawn in the list of "Mortal Kombat X" fighters, Venture Capital Post reported.
"Mortal Kombat X" Kombat Pack 2 still remains a mystery. No official statements have been released yet pertaining to this.
