A survey done by Good Technology, an email security company, found that of 1,000 employees who have the ability to check in on work e-mails while off the clock do so.
The survey further reveals that 50 percent of full-time employees with smartphones monitor their e-mails in bed, the one place they should be least worried about work. 69 percent of people were found to refuse going to bed if they had not checked their work e-mail prior to doing so.
Over half of those surveyed admit to checking work e-mails on family vacations, while 38 percent do so during dinner.
Close to half of the surveyed participants say that their careers demands that they stay up to date way past work hours, as their customers require it.
