Bobbi Kristina Brown may have been laid to rest, but her case is far from over. Now, Whitney Houston's daughter is being compared to pop superstar Britney Spears by her guilty father Bobby Brown amid the $10 million lawsuit against alleged killer Nick Gordon.
While Bobbi Kristina Brown was buried next to her mother Whitney Houston on Monday, her father Bobby Brown was noticeably absent. According to Daily Mail, he is shaken over his daughter's untimely and tragic death. He even told friends that he could have prevented the incident and is feeling guilty for not fighting harder for her life.
"Bobby has so much guilt that it is eating him up every day," a close family friend said. "He told me he should have insisted Krissy get help for her drug addiction and he should have forced Nick Gordon to move out of her townhouse and leave her alone — legally, if necessary."
The source added Bobby Brown said that he should have fought daughter Bobbi Kristina or anyone else who stopped her from saving her from herself. The friend also said Bobby realized his daughter saw a lot of drugs and domestic abuse growing up in the house with him and her mother, Whitney. But he said he should have tried harder to make it right after Whitney died.
"Bobby told me 'I should have gone to court to get a judge to make Bobbi Kristina go to rehab and then become her guardian — like Britney Spears' father did to save her,'" the friend said.
Meanwhile, the estate of Bobbi Kristina Brown has filed a multimillion-dollar wrongful death lawsuit against her boyfriend, Nick Gordon, for allegedly being responsible for the injuries that led to her death, CNN reported.
Based on the $10 million lawsuit filed on Friday, Nick Gordon allegedly poisoned Bobbi Kristina Brown by giving her a "toxic cocktail" to knock her out. It also accuses him of placing her face-down in a bathtub of cold water that resulted to her brain damage.
"I am deeply saddened by the recent death of Bobbi Kristina Brown," Krissy's conservator Bedelia C. Hargrove told People. "I extend my sincerest condolences to all of her family. Consistent with and to the letter of the civil action I initially filed on behalf of Bobbi Kristina, we will continue to pursue justice for her. I have filed today an amended complaint against Nicholas Gordon adding a count for wrongful death and for pain and suffering. We will leave no stone unturned in seeking justice for Bobbi Kristina Brown."
In the 13-page amended complaint obtained by E! News, the estate also accuses Gordon of fighting and calling Bobbi Kristina Brown a "whore" and a "bitch." The lawsuit further contends he also accused her of cheating and told an unidentified female guest that he wanted a "pretty white girl."
In other news, Bobby Brown is facing another crisis with his wife Alicia Etheredge, who is suffering from severe diabetes.
